Gum Bend Lake is now closed to all motorised water sport activities including water skiing, boating and jet skis. Water levels in the lake will fall over winter and become unsuitable for motorised activities. The lake will be refilled in spring, ready for the season to reopen in October.
Although the lake is closed to boating, the camping grounds, walkway, playground, picnic facilities and amenities will still be open and able to be enjoyed.
We had spectacular weather for water sports this summer and we hope everyone took advantage of the recently improved facilities and our lovely beach while enjoying the lake during the season.
Lachlan Shire Council encourages the community and visitors to keep enjoying this amazing facility and all it has to offer throughout the year. We are looking forward to the lake reopening for boating when the weather warms up.
