Parking

Lachlan Shire Council provides and manages public parking spaces to ensure adequate access for residents and visitors. Parking rules are in place to ensure parked or stopped vehicles do not affect local access or traffic flow.

Council has an obligation to enforce the NSW Road Rules to ensure the safety of everyone.

Parking enforcement is designed to contribute to public safety though minimising dangerous activities, managing traffic flow and providing equitable access to available parking spaces. Our Regulations Officers conduct the parking enforcement role within the Lachlan Shire local government area.
