Description of Proposed Development:

Open cut mine – project comprising mining operations and transportation of recovered ore and the return of neutralised spent solids to and from the processing facility.

During the exhibition period, the Development Application and the accompanying Environmental Impact Statement are available from Council’s website https://www.lachlan.nsw.gov.au.

Hard copies may be inspected at Council’s offices, located at 58-64 Molong Street, Condobolin, between the hours of 8.30am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday during the exhibition period.

Submissions:

Any interested person may view the submitted documentation during the exhibition period and make written comment on the proposal. Written submissions regarding the proposed development will be received by Council up until 4pm on the close of the exhibition period. Submissions are to include a contact name, address details and be addressed to:

Submissions may be mailed to the above address, hand delivered or emailed to: council@lachlan.nsw.gov.au.

Should the submission be an objection to the proposed development, the grounds of the objection must be specified.

PLEASE NOTE: a person who makes a public submission to Council in relation to a development application is required to disclose the reportable political donations and/or gifts (if any) made by the person making the submission, or any associate of that person, within the period commencing 2 years before the submission is made and ending when the application is determined. Designated Development – Objections and appeal information

Unless the Independent Planning Commission has held a public hearing, a person who objected to the development by making a submission and who is dissatisfied with the determination of the consent authority to grant development consent, may appeal to the Court.

If the Independent Planning Commission holds a public hearing, the Commission’s determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
