Cemeteries
Lachlan Shire Council is responsible for maintaining records of interments, reservations, maintenance of grounds, monumental works, and liaising with funeral directors. Council acts as the cemetery authority in accordance with legislative requirements.

Council's register of burials for cemeteries may be sighted by the public between 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Council’s approval is required prior to any of the following works being undertaken:
Cemetery Reservation
Council recognises that people may choose to select and Reserve a Plot(PDF, 181KB) in a cemetery to avoid placing additional burden on surviving family members and or to be close to deceased family members.
To reserve a plot, contact Council’s Infrastructure Services Administration Coordinator on 02 6895 1900 to make an appointment to view Cemetery Plans for availability.
