Water bills have been issued; due dates have been extended. Payments can be made online at https://eservices.lachlan.nsw.gov.au/eservice/start.do.

For genuine cases of hardship residents can contact Council’s rating department to arrange a payment plan.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for the short-term license of Part Lot 173 DP 752329 - Lake Cargelligo Aerodrome 12.8 Ha/31.63 Acres

WASTE 2 ART EXHIBITION

‘Shrink Your Footprint’ is the theme for the 2026. Entries must be delivered to the Condobolin Library between 5 to 9 June.

The exhibition will be from Friday 12 to Friday 19 June at the same location.Further details and entry forms available here. 

DOMESTIC WASTE DISPOSAL

Council is reminding residents that domestic waste disposal at all Council waste facilities is free of charge for loads up to three cubic metres in size.

PUBLIC BRIEFING SESSION

Members of the public are welcome to attend the public briefing session on Wednesday 13 May in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 2pm.

The next Ordinary Meeting of Lachlan Shire Council will be held on Tuesday 26 May 2026 in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 3pm.

PROJECT UPDATES

Lake Cargelligo Second Sporting Field option

  • Planning of grass runners to be complete and irrigation to re-commence.

Memorial Park flood Resilience and betterment

  • Designs and procurement to complete and all contractors engaged.

SRA Flood Recovery

  • Netball Courts surface renewal works to commence late May. Designs and procurement continuing with electrical infrastructure.

Regional Drought Resilience Plan

  • Implementation of plans when possible as resources become available.
  • Heat Mapping Urban Cooling Plan
  • Recreational Water Bodies plan
  • Community Assets Plan

ROADS UPDATES

Heavy patching, Re-sheeting and Grade, Water and Roll (GWR) are planned for May on sections of the following roads:

  • Nyngan Rd, Henry Parkes Way, The Bogan Way, Fifield Road, Tabratong Crossing Road, North Uabba Road, Fairs Road

WATER AND SEWER UPDATES

Sewage Effluent Reuse Management System (Lake Cargelligo, Condobolin & Tottenham)

  • Tottenham: Pipeline construction is continuing and the installation of the new pump in the existing STP pond is underway.
  • Lake Cargelligo and Condobolin remain in abeyance until Tottenham is complete.

Advanced Operational Support – Condobolin WTP and Lake Cargelligo WTP

  • The onsite intensive support program is scheduled to start by the end of April for five (5) working days at Lake Cargelligo WTP.

Sewer Rehabilitation Works

  • Works have commenced and will continue until late September 2026. Further details and maps here.
