PUBLIC EXHIBITION

Lachlan Shire Council Draft 2026/2027 Budget, Delivery Program and Operational Plan

On public exhibition for 28 days from 27 May until 24 June 2026. Council invites submissions from the community on the draft and associated documents during the exhibition period.

Draft Code of Conduct Policies (2025)

On public exhibition for 42 days, commencing 2 June 2026 until 14 July 2026. Council invites community submissions on both draft policies during the exhibition period.

TENDERS AND PROCUREMENT 

RFQ2026/01 - Provision of Internal Audit Services

Council is seeking qualified professionals and organisations to provide Internal Audit Services for our Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee (ARIC) Strategic Work Plan 2025-2029.

EOI to be submitted by Thursday 25 June 2026 at 5pm.

Q2025/22 LOT 1 DP 16576 - 260 Kiacatoo Road, Condobolin 

Council is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) for approximately 68 acres of Land at 260 Kiacatoo Road.

The Licence Agreement will have a term of 3 years with 2 options to renew the Agreement of 1 year each.

EOI to be submitted by Tuesday 19 June 2026 at 5pm.

WASTE 2 ART EXHIBITION

‘Shrink Your Footprint’ is the theme for the 2026. Entries must be delivered to the Condobolin Library between 5 to 9 June. The exhibition will be from Friday 12 to Friday 19 June at the same location. See Council’s website for more details.

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE (previously known as Public Briefing Session)

 Members of the public are welcome to attend Committee of the Whole on Wednesday 10 June 2026 in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 2pm.

The next Ordinary Meeting of Lachlan Shire Council will be held on Tuesday 30 June 2026 in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 3pm.

PROJECT UPDATES

Memorial Park flood resilience and betterment

Works have begun for the replacement of granite paths. This will include the concreting of the existing shelters and BBQ space that was previously installed.

SRA Flood Recovery

Netball court resurfacing scheduled to begin in June.

Lake Cargelligo Second Sporting Field option

Spiny Burr Grass Spraying has been completed. Ground preparation was complete for replanting turf runners. Replanting will occur in early September.

ROADS UPDATES

Flood restoration works are now completed throughout the Shire.

Lake Cargelligo Road Betterment project has had defect rectification completed.

Line marking has been completed throughout the reseal and reconstruction works.

Heavy patching, Re-sheeting and Grade, Water and Roll (GWR) undertaken on the following roads:

  • Tabratong Crossing Road – Heavy Patching
  • Fairs Road – Re-sheeting
  • Nyngan Rd – GWR

WATER AND SEWER UPDATES

Tottenham Water Supply – Telemetry upgrade

Minor improvement works (valve replacements) will finalise the works of this entire project.

Condobolin Drought Water Security Project

Outstanding defects and unfinished works are now being assessed by the Quantity Surveyor.

Sewer Rehabilitation and Investigation

Interflow has started cleaning the targeted sewer mains around the Shire. This will be followed by the civil works to expose various of buried assets, to enable the assets to be renewed. Works will continue until around September – October.

Advanced Operational Support – Condobolin WTP and Lake Cargelligo WTP

Onsite intensive support program in Lake Cargelligo WTP was concluded at the end of April. A report finding is planned to be presented to the Utilities team by mid-June.
