The first rates instalment was due on Monday 31 August 2026. Information regarding rates in relation to land valuations is available on Council’s website.

NEXT COUNCIL MEETING
An extraordinary meeting of Council has been called for Wednesday 9 September 2026 in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 2pm. Council will consider in closed session the purchase of land at 66 Jones Lane, Condobolin.
The next Ordinary Meeting of Lachlan Shire Council will be held on Wednesday 23 September 2026 in the Condobolin Council Chambers, commencing at 2pm.
Council will elect its Mayor and Deputy Mayor at this meeting, with both positions elected by Councillors for a two-year term.

Expression of Interest: Q2025/22
Lot 1 DP 16576 - 260 Kiacatoo Rd Condobolin
Council is seeking EOI for approximately 27.5 Ha or 67.95 acres of land at 260 Kiacatoo Road.
EOI registrations are now open and will remain open until the block is licensed.
PROJECTS UPDATES
Memorial Park Flood Resilience and Betterment
Works are continuing at Memorial Park, including progress on the replacement toilet block and play equipment. Works on the refurbished shelter and new BBQ are also continuing.
SRA Flood Recovery
Flood recovery works are progressing, including planning for drainage, parking and goal posts improvements. Electrical infrastructure works and cricket pitch improvements are also progressing.
Lake Cargelligo Cemetery Footpath
Subject to weather conditions, footpath works are progressing towards completion.
Lake Cargelligo Airport Lighting Upgrade
All lighting and electrical works moving towards completion. The new system will then progress through commissioning and certification.
ROADS UPDATES
Council crews continue road construction, gravel re-sheeting, grading, culvert works and general maintenance across the Shire.
Works planned for September:
- Henry Parkes Way – widening and resealing of 4km.
- Burcher Road – widening and construction of 2km.
- Myamley Road – gravel re-sheeting.
- As required
Maintenance grading, storm damage repairs, shoulder grading, slashing, vegetation control and patching as required and weather conditions permit.
WATER AND SEWER UPDATES
Sewer Rehabilitation and Investigation
Targeted sewer main cleaning and associated civil works have been completed across the Shire.
Additional sewer relining has been completed near Busby and Wattle streets, with final sealing works also progressing.
