Water and Sewer Interruptions

Council notify residents of the planned interruptions to the water supply within the Lachlan Shire area.

Lachlan Shire has a vast network of water and sewer infrastructure to maintain that can be affected by tree roots, new services being installed and pipe breakages. Residents are advised by media releases that can be found below.

Current planned interruptions; 

PLANNED INTERRUPTION TO WATER SUPPLY - GIBSONVALE PIPELINE LAKE CARGELLIGO

A planned interruption to water supply will impact the Gibsonvale pipeline from Lake Cargelligo to the 16 Mile pump station. The interruption is scheduled to occur on Thursday 29 February 2024 between 9.00am and 4.00pm (weather permitting).

The purpose of the interruption is to enable replacement of water main valves. The interruption may also impact the Kikoira pipeline, Tullibigeal pipeline, Tullibigeal township and surrounding areas. Please refer to the map of impacted areas provided.

Residents and business owners are advised that there may be a complete loss of water supply to some areas. Residents in the affected areas are requested to ensure they have ample water in reserve to cover their requirements during the supply interruption.
