Lachlan Shire Library Service offers access to over 25,000 books, approximately 700 DVD’s, dozens of board games and puzzles, magazines, newspapers and audio books.  Our collections are supplemented through subscriptions to a number of electronic resources including BorrowBox, Story Box, Indy Reads and Gale databases.

Join the Library

Membership is available to all Lachlan Shire Council residents free of charge. Your Library Card should be used each time you borrow as this will ensure that your membership is maintained on the database. Please notify the staff of any changes to your name, address or contact details.

Your Library Card is your gateway to our digital resources, including BorrowBox, Story Box, Indy Reads and the Gale databases.

Becoming a Member

You will need a current Driver’s Licence, a Student ID card, a title/lease/rental agreement, a utility bill or mail postmarked in the last four weeks as proof of residence.

1. Bring ID with your current address to the library desk

2. We will process your library membership

3. Check items out the same day (borrowing limits apply).

Members can extend the loan on most borrowed items, either by phoning or visiting the library. Reserved items cannot be renewed.

Reservations

You are able to reserve any items you require that are currently on loan.

Programs

The Condobolin Library runs several programs throughout the year. Below is the table of programs; 

Baby Rhyme Time    Wednesdays and Fridays  9:30am to 10:00am
Pre-School Story Time    Wednesdays and Fridays  10:00am to 11:00am 
Knitting Group    First Monday of each month  2:00pm to 4:00pm
Euchre Group    Tuesdays 10:00am to 12:00pm 
Book Club   First Thursday of each month    5:30pm to 6:30pm

Use our online catalogue to search for items, check your library record, renew your loans or reserve items that are currently out on loan.

Unable to find what you are looking for? We may be able to purchase an item for you or borrow it from another library (fees apply). The State Library of NSW has a plethora of resources available that we can access.

Digital Library

BorrowBox - With BorrowBox (by Bolinda Digital) you can gain access to more than 8,000 eBooks and 5,200 eAudiobook titles across a range of genres for all ages.  Your Library membership number and password is required.

Story Box - For families to connect, engage, inspire and educate children, Story Box Library is the best place to watch celebrated stories read aloud by your favourite storytellers. Your Library membership number is required.

Indy Reads - Indyreads provides New South Wales Public Library members with free access to a large collection of eBook & Audiobook titles.  Your Library membership number and password is required.
