Lachlan Shire Council is pleased to introduce a new Development Application Support Service, designed to assist residents with the online lodgement of development applications through the NSW Planning Portal.
With all development applications now required to be lodged through the NSW Planning Portal, Council recognises that some residents may benefit from additional assistance when using the online system. The service will provide residents with one-on-one support to help navigate the online lodgement process, ensuring all required documentation is uploaded correctly and applications are submitted efficiently.
Mayor John Medcalf said the service is aimed at making the process easier and more accessible for local residents.
"Council understands that online systems can sometimes be challenging to navigate. Our Development Application Support Service will provide residents with practical assistance and guidance to help them successfully lodge their applications online," Mayor Medcalf said.
Residents planning a new home, renovation, shed or other development requiring Council approval are encouraged to book an appointment before lodging their application. "This service is about supporting our residents and ensuring they have access to the help they need when lodging development applications through the NSW Planning Portal," Mayor Medcalf said.
The service is available by appointment only and can be accessed at Council's offices in Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo. Appointments can be arranged by contacting Council's Environment and Planning Department on (02) 6895 1900.
