The Condobolin water supply system is under significant pressure due to the extreme heat and ongoing dry conditions. Level 2 water restrictions are now effective immediately for all residents connected to Condobolin town water supply.
The high-water demand from the town outweighs the plant capacity to produce potable water resulting in the reservoir level continues to drop below 70%.
A volume of at least 70% needs to be maintained in the town reservoirs to produce adequate water pressure throughout the town network and provide a buffer to the town in the event of a system failure or black out.
