Today marked a significant milestone for the Nerathong Creek bridge renewal project on The Gipps Way Condobolin, with the pouring of the bridge deck.

After delays due to constant rain and the 2022 flood event the project has moved to the final phase and is on track for completion by the end of August.

Works included the demolition of the pre-existing concrete structure to allow for the construction of a wider, modern single span concrete bridge.

The project has been jointly funded by the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Roads program and Lachlan Shire Council.

Fixing Country Roads is a $543 million program providing targeted infrastructure funding from Restart NSW for regional freight projects that improve freight access, support jobs, economic growth and productivity of regional NSW.
