IT Strategic Plan

This Information Technology (IT) strategic plan establishes the actions and guidance for the development and delivery of IT services for the Lachlan Shire for five (5) years.

The plan focuses on key elements vital to the successful implementation and ongoing operation of IT services that will be used by the Council’s staff and community.

This strategy has been developed around five key elements which Council believe are essential to maintain its existing IT systems and also to enable it to grow these in a sustainable manner to ensure IT continues to be an enabler of Council’s continuous improvement in service delivery.

This plan forms part of Council’s overall planning framework and aligns with achievement of Council’s key deliverables as outlined in its Delivery Program and Community Strategic Plan. Information contained in this plan is used to support anticipated IT related expenditure as outlined in Council’s long term financial plan.

Progress on the IT Strategic plan is updated annually and noted next to each target.
