ROAD CONDITION REPORT - 4/08/2022

All unsealed roads within Lachlan Shire have been closed to vehicles over three (3) tonne GVM until 11.00am Monday 8 August 2022, when the condition of the roads will be reviewed. 

School buses, Council road repair plant and Emergency Services (including Utility Services emergency response) are exempted, subject to normal risk assessment. 

Please note that concessions are possible on request, for urgent transport activity on routes considered suitable to carry the proposed loading. Contact Lachlan Shire Council’s Infrastructure Services Department to discuss requirements for a concession. 

Council regrets the inconvenience caused, however, the preservation of the road asset is of prime importance. 

Rain events have caused numerous washouts and debris. Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when travelling on roads and causeways impacted by flood and storms. 

Detours available via Kiargarthur Road (SR 1031) and Bimbella Road (SR 56).

Please avoid walking or driving through flood waters, it may be deeper and faster flowing than anticipated and/or the road may have suffered extensive damage hidden beneath the water.
