Tourism is vital to both the economic health and cultural life of our community.  Lachlan is proud to host a number of important and exciting events that attracts many visitors to our region including the Slattery’s Auctions Condo 750; the Gardening Down the Lachlan Festival; the Condobolin Pipe Band Tattoo and  many more.   

As residents of Lachlan Shire, we benefit from the new perspectives and energy that visitors bring to our region.

This tourism strategy aims to increase awareness of what Lachlan Shire has to offer, so people feel encouraged to pay us a visit, and to keep visiting us.

It aims to build on Lachlan’s strengths which include our reputation as a destination for an authentic bush experience in the heart of NSW; our natural environment and our rich country heritage.
This strategy has five goals and complements the work we are doing as outlined in our Community Strategic Plan - Living Lachlan Style 2024.
