Widening the Circle
The Lachlan Shire Council is delighted to manage the 'Widening the Circle' project.
The aim of 'Widening the Circle' is to strengthen active positive parenting for young parents in Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo areas by addressing parental responsibilities, anti - social behaviour, alcohol and drug related crime and domestic violence.
The project objectives are...
1. Increased positive contact with young parents by service and support agencies
2. Decrease in domestic violence, assault and malicious damage figures
3. Increased children attendance numbers at playgroups, preschools and schools.
Specific activities listed below, will focus on interaction between parents and support services as well as contact with community groups and individuals willing to provide encouragement and assistance.
